WELCOME TO HARMONY GOLD FARM
About Us

Our journey began with a desire to live more simply and
naturally, to grow our own food and raise healthy animals
while embracing the rhythms of country life. What started
as a homesteading dream quickly grew into a passion for
Nigerian Dwarf goats, whose sweet, creamy milk has
become a daily delight on our farm. We believe that our
organic raw milk, produced cleanly and responsibly, and in compliance with the state laws of Utah, is far
healthier and more nourishing than its processed
counterparts.

We are fully dedicated to following a natural, organic, and holistic approach to animal care and farm management. Our goats are fed an organic diet, raised without vaccines or synthetic chemicals, and regularly tested free of the goat diseases, CAE, CL, and Johne's. Our milking does are also tested free of Brucellosis. We believe that healthy animals and happy people go hand in hand, and that harmony is the true gold of farm life.
Harmony Gold Farm is a small family farm nestled in the serene high desert of New Harmony, Utah, just minutes from the breathtaking Zion National Park. Our peaceful homestead is dotted with juniper trees and features a cozy goat barn and spacious areas for the goats to romp and climb. We enjoy sweeping views of the red rock Kolob Fingers of Zion and the striking black lava rock ridges of our area known as Black Ridge.

At our farm, we breed our Nigerian Dwarfs primarily for milk production, not only for homestead and family use, but we’re also excited to offer fresh milk to our community
Each of our goats has a name and a personality all their own. They’re truly part of the family, loved and played with every day. When kids are sold, we allow their new owners to choose names of their own, continuing the bond of care and connection that begins here.

Why Nigerian Dwarfs?
Nigerian Dwarf goats are an excellent choice for people who want dairy goats. They are especially perfect for small farms, homesteads, and families, for several reasons.
Rich, High-Butterfat Milk
Nigerian Dwarf milk has exceptionally high butterfat content. This gives the milk a sweet, creamy flavor that’s perfect for drinking fresh, making cheese, yogurt, ice cream, or soap. Despite their small size, their milk is nutrient-dense, with more solids and richer taste than most larger dairy breeds.
Small Size & Manageable Temperament
Adults are only about 17–23 inches tall and weigh 60–80 pounds, making them easy to handle, even for children or older people. Their size also means lower feed and space requirements. You can keep several Nigerians in the space that one large dairy goat would need. They’re known for being friendly, social, and intelligent, often behaving more like pets than livestock.
Ideal for Small Properties
These gentle creatures are perfect for urban farms, homesteads, or small acreage, since they don’t need much space or huge barns. Their small hooves and light weight cause less damage to pasture and fencing than larger breeds.
Efficient Milk Production
A good Nigerian Dwarf doe can produce a half gallon per day at peak, with some high producers reaching three quarters of a gallon a day or more at peak. Considering their feed intake, they have one of the highest milk-to-body-weight ratios of any goat breed. They’re year-round breeders (unlike most seasonal breeds), so you can stagger freshenings and have milk continuously all year.
Low Maintenance & Hardy
Nigerians are known for being hardy and adaptable to various climates. They eat a wide variety of forage, helping clear weeds and brush. They typically have easy kiddings and are excellent mothers, reducing stress for new goat owners.
Versatility & Popularity
Because they’re both productive and adorable, Nigerians are in high demand. They fit multiple purposes, including dairy production, showing, pets, or brush control. Registered Nigerian Dwarfs can also hold good resale value, making them a smart investment for small-scale breeders.
Great for Families & 4-H
Their gentle personalities make them favorites for children and beginners. They’re easy to train to milk, lead, or even participate in shows and obstacle courses.
