Harmony Gold Farm – Goat Sales Policy & Reservation Information

Important Notice

All sales are final. For the safety and health of our herd, goats cannot be returned or exchanged. Our herd is maintained with the highest standards of care and tested regularly. We are proud to be negative for CAE, CL, and Johne’s disease, and our milking does are also tested annually for brucellosis. Any new animals entering our farm are tested for Q-fever. For biosecurity reasons, we do not offer stud services or public farm tours.

Pricing

- Wether Kids – $100 each if picked up as newborn bottle babies, or $150 each if picked up at weaning.
- Doelings & Bucklings – Prices vary by pedigree, conformation, and show/milk lines.
- Adult Does & Bucks – Prices are set based on genetics, accomplishments, and individual qualities.

We accept personal checks, money orders, or cash (cash only if delivered in person at the farm).

 

How to Reserve a Goat

Reservation Option:
Placing a deposit guarantees you first choice of the goat you reserved.

Notification List:
You may also join our free notification list (does not apply to wethers).

After You Reserve a Goat

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to hold until the agreed pick-up date.

Buyer Information We Require

- Best way to contact you (phone, email, text).
- Full name, farm name (if applicable), and address for registration transfers.
- Out-of-state buyers: full address is required for vet health certificates.
- Transport plan (picking up yourself or hiring a transporter).
- Specific goats you wish to reserve or desired qualities.
- New goat owners: let us know so we can provide support. Established farms should share herd background.

Payments

Payments can be made by check, money order, or cash (in person only). All payments are non-refundable unless Harmony Gold Farm cannot fulfill the sale. Deposits must be used within 18 months, unless otherwise agreed.

Pick-Up & Transportation

Goats must be picked up by the agreed date. Boarding fees may apply if pick-up is delayed.

What’s Included with Your Goat

- Registration: All breeding stock is registered with ADGA (and AGS upon request).
- Identification: Registered goats are tattooed per registry rules.
- Disbudding: Kids are disbudded unless naturally polled.
- DNA Testing: As of Jan. 1, 2024, all bucklings will have DNA submitted.
- Vet Checks: Buyers may request health exams or testing at their expense.

Harmony Gold Farm Rights

We reserve the right to retain any kid born on the farm, adjust pricing, and place goats only in homes we believe will provide proper care. We may cancel a sale at any point with a full refund.

 

Guarantees & Limitations

1. Health – Our goats are sold healthy to the best of our knowledge.
2. Defects – We do not knowingly sell goats with disqualifying defects.
3. DNA – All bucklings born after Jan. 1, 2024, will be DNA typed per ADGA rules.
4. Fertility – Fertility of does and bucks is generally expected but not guaranteed unless in writing.
5. Temperament – No guarantees are made on personality or behavior.
6. Refunds/Replacements – Refunds never exceed purchase price and expire after 18 months.

We want every Harmony Gold goat to succeed in its new home. Please read this policy carefully before placing a deposit, and don’t hesitate to ask questions. We're here to  help.
